I am making the points here, assets are everything
2: 16/13 3/2
Too big a race lead to risk being clever. 3/2 just looks better than 2/1, but do expect a very small diff there.
3: Double/drop
The way I see it Blue has lots of timing here. After breaking 8 he does not have to play 6s, and may be stalling. Even if White then can attack with a way out she has to roll 2 aces and 2 6s. And that is what happens in White's good variations. The good variations - apart from 16 - is when Blue rolls an ace and can get to fight on the 2pt with his prime intact. If he gets hit, WHite crashes, If he makes it he again has lots of time. And gammons galore...
4: 13/11 13/8
I unstack here and try to build something against White's three back.
5: 15/13 6/2
The 15-pt blot isn't holding much, White does not have to play her 7s to the 14pt for some time. It seems to be more a target than an asset, so I save it. Making the 11 looks just too unflexible, and likely to bother Blue more than it does White.
