Without commenting on all the foolishness, pride, old feuds, dates, and title-BS in this thread... There's one thing I'd like to ask, from this list of amazing features of the Cyprus tournament:

Is it "for the better of the game/sport" to allow reentries in a tournament bearing the label "European Championship"?

Personally I don't think so. Money-wise it's a good idea to cancel out any advantages given through random byes by filling up the brackets, but if you are serious about the title you shouldn't sell extra chances to the players with the deepest pockets.
