Biased reply and not correct in details. Looking more carefully at numbers, names and facts will open your eyes, even if you´ve been far away from tournament backgammon for quite some time.

I am too busy to reply to every single phrase of it and at the end, it becomes boring to write and boring to read.

Bottom line: There is a tournament in Velden and there is a tournament in Cyprus. One is called European Championship, the other is the European Pro Championship. Each tournament attracts another type of player and each is organized by another group. Both groups work hard to have their respective tournament grow. Competition will offer more benefits and values for the game and the players...

Let people decide which one works better for them and for whichever reason.
