"Philippe Michel has been working on small (incremental) speed improvements in a number of areas over the past number of months.

'All in all, the most recent builds or source snapshots should be about 30-40% faster than those from late 2010.' "

We should probably be talking about this on the gnubg mailing list rather than here, but is Philippe talking to Oystein about speed improvements? Oystein made some changes that really speeded up the engine we are experimenting with. It would be a shame if we duplicated work or failed to incorporate some changes.
