1-ply (GNU-bg meaning): 13/7 leaves fewer shots (13 vs. 15).

2-ply (when missed): 13/7 gives Blue decent chances (17/36) to make the solid 5-prime. 22/16 gains slightly in hitting chances (e.g. White's immediate 1-1, 2-1, 3-1 rolls).

Longer term: when hit, 22/16 doesn't give White hit-while-escaping equity.

Unless I've missed some key scenarios or grossly over/understated the cases, it looks to me as though 13/7 is better.
