Do you REALLY want to see backgammon flourish?

What a wonderful idea, Chuck.
I know that I have been guilty of negative comments about people here in the past....of course I believe it was justified and often in defense of unwarranted attacks on me, but I suppose that most people can offer this same excuse. Your post has truly "inspired me" and I hereby pledge that I will never again say anything negative or about any individual on this forum. Even in defense, and even if I believe it is warranted.
About thirty years ago I got extremely upset and vocal about a bad beat where my opponent rolls 3 amazing jokers in a row. I threw a fit. I hated the dice, the game, my opponent, and later I even kicked the dog. When I settled down I realized how wrong it is to behave that way, and I pledged to never again complain about a roll or luck, and I've stuck to it. I've enjoyed the game far more since, and together with others who act in the same manner, we have helped raise the game to a higher plane.
Your example and advice here, if everyone makes the same pledge I just made, will take this forum to a higher level as well.
(Would it be so horrible, however, if I could at least continue to fight with Rory?)
