With all due respect, I think this kind of forum discussion is not productive.

Patrick is a very experienced director who fully understands the challenges and the schedule, and what can be done, and a large Rolodex of people to bounce ideas off of. He is working with two of the best in the business at drawsheets - Butch Meese and Troy Longman. If there is a reasonable solution that will accommodate the desire shared by all to open this event to more entries, I am sure they will find it. Let's let Patrick work on this. The LA Open tournament is Patrick's own event, not the USBGF's; he is the MFIC as we all know.
