Double?

Much of your advantage comes from your huge gammon threat and you kill your own gammons by redoubling.
The principle of not killing (or almost killing) your own gammons comes into play at many scores when you have a big lead and the end is in sight, e.g., initial doubles at 2-away/many-away or 3-away/many-away, or redoubles at 4-away/many-away or 5-away/many-away. Generally speaking if you win a lot of gammons you shouldn't (re)double in such situations.
