Just a word of caution. Generally Dell is not a brand I have much issue with. However I have 2 gaming friends a few years back (Well after Dell purchased Alienware) and they bought a high end laptop and both had heat dissipation issues, plastic had melted, and in one case the CPU died. In itself this might have been okay until they tried to get them serviced. They were given the run around and then eventually ended up getting a refund after a lot hassles (And still had to pay a 15% or 20% restocking fee).

If you think this doesn't seem typical of Dell, I would agree. I don't know how things work at Dell but it almost seems as if Alienware may be manned by - aliens.
