I don't believe any of these tournaments holds a particular format that makes it worthy of holding an elite title such as World Champ, US Champ, etc... Yes, Monte Carlo has longer matches, whoopie. If you want to call yourself a world champion at something a lot more skill should be involved in my opinion. Other sports/games don't have the need of revamping the format of the game how it is because they aren't so heavily influenced by short term luck (the 'main event' at the WSOP being the obvious exception). Something needs changed for these titles to have any meaning to me other than just some tournament maybe with a larger field.
