In Response To: Interesting tournament in Norway (Bob Koca)

Very interesting and congratulations that you have found 16 players and a way to make this tournament happen. For sure that must be the premiere of a BG tournament where all players have to write down rolls and moves (from my own experience this is more difficult and distracting when you play without a clock cause you have to record moves and pick up the die and in the meantime the opponent starts rolling and playing, if the opponent has to pick up you can record and there is less distraction)

In General I dont want BG to become more and more like chess and the player who wins most matches should win the tournament. You made a compromise with 2 winners, thats fine :)

On the other hand this tournament is a good resource and I am with Bob. Would be interesting to see the variance reduced or luck based results.

One last word on the PR/ER. I think the way you have done it could be a little bit inaccurate cause you have averaged all matches (extreme situation would be a 5 pointer which was decided in 1 game to one with 9 games for example). And the ranked podium is very close... I would suggest creating a Player a/c on XG for all players and taking this value instead of the average.
