There is a very strong case to be made for Nadal being better than Federer for the last few years. But a few years does not a career make. When considering the best player of all time in any sport, you usually think of their career accomplishments. Sandy Koufax was far and away he most dominant pitcher in baseball over a five year period, but he is not in consideration for the best pitcher of all time, because of his brief career. If Nadal continues what he is doing for many years, he could, one day, be considered the best of all time. He has a long way to go to match Federer's career records. Even if he gets close, he may be considered the best of all time, but his path may not be so clear. He now has to contend with Federer and, the possibly the more threatening opponent for a longer portion of his career, Djokovic.
