In position 1 White has a take no matter what he rolls. But if he rolls 66, he has lost his market. So its better for him do double now (cube will come anyway, and cube possession has no value here).

Only if you are sure your opponent wont double before the next roll (for whatever reason) it would obviously be better not to double here in this underdog position.
