'The most profound comment was from Boris Becker when he shared his "wisdumb," enlightening us by divulging that the player who wins the first set usually goes on to win the match. Who would have known that if Boris Becker had not told us?'

Other 'wisdumbs' I have heard:

'If a player can win the first two sets, he is a substantial favorite to win the match.';

'The player wins the third set, to take a 2 to 1 lead, has a psychological advantage over his opponent.';

'It is important to win the first point in a set, but not as important as the last.'
