Don't we want to be "inclusive" (yes, it's a dirty politically correct word, but it applies here). One system would put all backgammon players on the same footing. Running two separate systems seems to go against the idea proposed by Ken.

Are there two separate systems in chess, golf, tennis?

Backgammon players should have one and only one rating.


To make "all backgammon players on the same footing" we should have tournaments with only one division. I know Chiva proposed this couple of months ago.
