Laptop problem

Overheating may have been a catalyst for USB issues during a bad windows startup. Sometimes the drivers can really get messed up. You probably already did the safe mode stuff. This is going to seem stupid, and this is something I have seen with other USB devices. Shutoff your PC first. Disconnect all your USB devices (mouse, Keyboard, anything else you can unplug that is USB). Boot your system into windows as far as it will go without needing user input. Now shut shutdown your system insert JUST your mouse and keyboard. Power on your system and let windows load. Do the devices function again?
