Problem 1 I'd like to get off the 18-point soon, but I don't think this is the roll to execute that plan. 13/7
Problem 2 By definition, 6/4*/3 is a candidate. But even when it works (i.e. doesn't get hit this turn) it looks to be difficult to follow up. I'll create the best builders. 8/6, 8/5
Problem 3 FRAM is still in business (I just saw one of their TV ads last night) but they've long ago stopped using their now famous backgammon quip. If you keep the midpoint (and opp keeps his) then next turn you leave a double shot with four numbers but you also clear with four numbers. That double shot danger fades pretty quickly and then you're basically down to leaving no worse of a situation than you can volunteer now. 7/1, 6/4
Problem 4 If I remember correctly, Mochy said in his Chicago Open lecture that you need a minimum of low 70's pip deficit to have a chance in a 23-24 backgame. 94 pip deficit ought to be comfortable. I'm going to try and nix that GP now. 11/7, 14/10
Problem 5 PRaT looks strong and with the made acepoint White is going to have trouble putting together a threatening position. I may be underestimating Blue's trouble getting out of White's homeboard; guess I'll find out... D+P
