Recording Matches at BG Events

If someone records a match, I think it is common courtesy to offer a copy to the players. In the case of video recording, if I record one of my matches with the intention of entering it and analyzing it later, I think I ought to offer to send my opponent a copy of the match whenever I get around to entering it (which might be months later, of course). If someone like Ben records a match simply to stream it, I certainly don't think he has any obligation to enter it. As Stick says, this is a lot of work. If the players have the choice between getting a copy of the video via ustream or having Ben burn them a copy for the price of a blank CD, I think that is more than sufficient. I certainly think Ben deserves kudos for all his efforts.
If Ben (or anyone else) wants to enter the match for profit as opposed to study then I certainly think he is entitled to charge a reasonable fee for a copy. Maybe there would be a market for someone who enters all the recorded matches from an event and sells a CD - sort of like a tournament book.
I think it is unreasonable for a player who is being recorded to expect anything more than a copy of the match if and when it gets entered. Demanding a copy of the entire weekend's worth of matches is unreasonable and I would just say no. What is next - you can record me, but only if I get a copy of your entire match library?
By the way, while standard practice is that no match gets videotaped without the consent of the players, I think it is a director's prerogative to live stream important matches in order to promote the game and the event. Of course in a perfect world this would be announced in advance but it really doesn't matter much to me. The finals of a major tournament is not a private event.
