A small addition ( i obviously remember all the answers for NIB ). 18, 8 is definitely my otb move, a move like 8 and 7 here is a rare sight imo, for one thing you are a mile ahead in the race why jeopardize?

That being said, your 3-1 board indicates a bold move as garyo points out. In the gain department that move obviously puts a lot of pressure on white. In the risk department the blot on the five gives white only a few great rolls (hit and covers) and those are the only numbers you really worry about after that move.
