Even if every voter knows this, I would expect that being on the back of the ballot has a strong effect on the number of votes that a candidate receives. O.K., maybe someone like Mochy will get the same number of votes regardless of whether he is listed on the back, but there are probably quite a few players for whom being listed or not could make the difference between making it into the top 32 (or top 64) or not.
