I don't think that's quite the right conclusion. The magnitude of the equity difference is affected not just by market losers but market freezers (exchanges where you wish you hadn't doubled). In the containment position, there is volatility on White's side too because she could enter, which is bad for Blue and partially cancels out the sequences that are good for him. So the equity difference being smaller doesn't automatically mean that there isn't much market loss potential.
