Sounds like the typical swing. Keep up your good spirits (uhh, not the liquid kind).

My opinion (FWIW) -- lay off the doubles unless you have a decent partner. It's just going to frustrate you to lose, and in some ways you are an underdog without a good partner. (You mentioned an oversight blunder -- these should never happen with two good sets of eyes....) Get into individual side events (e.g. blitz) where it's all you. You'll feel better when you win and not as bad when you lose. And forget about questioning your play. You ARE playing well and WILL play well the entire week. (Say that over and over again. :) You can work on the error rate in the quiet of your Ohio abode.
