Daily Quiz, race/bear-off positions

Hi,
When trying to solve the daily quiz problems that fall in the category: No Contact race/bear-off doubles,
I first used the Lamford method, which is quite elaborate. After reading an article about the Keith count, I tried this much simpler method.
According to the article I read the Keith count is rather accurate.
I compared the results of the Keith count with the Gnu 4-ply evaluation of the positions, and much to my surprise the Keith count was not as accurate as I thought.
Of the 24 problems in this category (between 1/4 2011 and 19/12 2011) only 9 were within a 2% range of the correct winning chance.
Another 7 were in a 5% range
5 differed less than 10%
and 3 showed a difference of more than 10%.
So, for solving the daily quizes the Keith count is far from accurate.
For me this is reason enough to try to learn the EPC method.
So far I already know the 7N+1 rule and the waste numbers for the high (7) and equal (10) positions.
I came across some other numbers like 4,7 and 5,2 for resp. 1 and 2 far checkers.
If there are other EPC rules I should know, I would like you to put them here as an answer
