Take The 3 and Run-OT

Please explain the following football scenario-New England Patriots Vs Baltimore Ravens- It's the start of 2nd quarter and NE leads 3-0. Ravens have the ball in the red zone ( 1 yard line)against one of the most explosive offenses in football. It's 4th down and you can play aggressively and go for the 7 points, or, kick a field goal for 3 points. If you don't score a TD on 4th down, you have the Pats pinned on the goal line( good positional football). Is it wrong to go for the TD and try to get more points vs a very offensive team ?
