Hi Mark,

having browsed through your article without getting into details:

Your idea that a jump (discrete) model fits the truth better than the linear approximation of Janowski is absolutely right.

I understand that the most practical use of your research might be the numbers 7,7% and 9,4%. Being the distance from the take point where doubling resp. redoubling is most effective (on average).

But having said this I think I must be wrong, since I always preumed you have to be closer to the take point to redouble, than when you double,
