Who Says It Is Bad To Hold Seven Points?

Svilo, writes, "I am breaking 2 of my "rules" 1. making 7 points (the 7 point disease) is often wrong as one is left with only one checker to play without breaking a point."

I wonder who started this false rumor that it is bad, inadvisable and wrong to own seven points at the same time. I first heard it years ago, and I guess I believed it for a while, but no longer. When you have the opportunity to make a play that would give you a seventh point, you should not reject it just because some guy decades ago made up some rule that has zillions and brazilians of exceptions.

Check out the position below, where any play other than the one that makes a seventh point is a triple whopper.
