60-65% win rate is a huge edge (I don't however think Stick is 65% average fav against the average abt field) all but guaranteing success in tournaments if you play enough of them to take out the immediate variance - it is the same kind of logic which makes casinos rich, taking a modest edge and multiplying it. Another point : We could play a differnt game which have less luck than backgammon, but realize that most of us even "wc" backgammon players are neither smart enough, talented enough or wiling to put in enough work to be wc in those games.
