The meaninglessness of backgammon results

A blunder in chess (by my defintion) changes a win to a tie or loss or changes a tie to a loss. If the top players blunder more often that may lose a game to a lesser player that they might not have under slower controls. But of course maybe the leser player gives it back. Do you have an idea which time control gives a greater advantage to the better player in chess? In backgammon some players use hardly any time at all so it wouldn't matter much to them but of players who do, I think the faster control would give just a slight advantage to the stronger open level player even without allowing that the match length might be longer. For a strong player against a low intermediate or novice level player I think it would increase the advantage even more.
