As I think Daniel mentioned in his post. Which play is the dmp play? Hitting, and it's clear. Which play wins more gammons? Hitting. Which play loses more gammons? Hitting, by quite a margin. While these loose definitions may not appear to help you much again, if you know a play is definitely right at dmp and on top of that it wins more gammons (or loses less) it's going to be awfully difficult for that third gammon category to overtake the single wins + 1 gammon category given a normal score or the typical 2:1 win v. gammon trade off.
