Here's an idea for an ER tournament. Each player rolls three dice on his turn, and his opponent takes away one of the rolled dice, leaving two dice to be played in the usual manner. Because it is an ER tournament, the opponent's strategy is therefore to make the resulting roll as hard to play as possible.
