I'd make the ace, but not with much confidence. 13/6 is the QF play but leaving 10 really bad 6s looks too big to me. You'll get hit close to 5/36 after this play and I don't think you gain enough on the other 31/36 to make up for this loss. The other play to look at is 6/1 6/4. That's a little purer than making the ace but leaves you one less safe 5 to play. In the somewhat unlikely event that White is forced to run one checker off the 18-point, you'll have more ways to hit and cover (or hit and lift)if your blot is on the 3-point than if it's on the ace.
