"It is never correct to double (except for automatic doubles) when you do not have a market loser"

Accurate here is instead "it is always correct to not double when you do not have a market loser". If there is no market loser the double could possibly have equal equity with not doubling. 2away 2away gives examples and there is no theoretical reason why it cannot happen in money play.
