In the opening book for Gammonsave, 1away - 2away Crawford, you find that opponent wins 50.99% (G:13.19% B:1.34%) after your 24/23 13/9. In match equity, that would be [50.99% + 100%(=opponent's gammon value) * 13.19%] * 50%(= opponent's match equity after a single win) = 32.09%. As opponent's match equity in the starting position was 32.26% at that score, winning the opening roll with a 41 was a slightly better than average outcome for you.
