In Response To: short bearoff/calculating (Bob Koca)

Playing for 22 gains 1/36 (which is 36/1296) when White rolls any double in the next two rolls,(11/36) so, gain is 396/46656. The same play loses in the other 25/36 games (that is no doubles by White) when Blue rolls 31 next. In this case he will have 26 numbers to bear off on the next shake instead of 34 if he played 2/1. So, we have 25*2*8/46696 = 400/46696. Playing 2/1 is better by 4/46656
