Blue will be ahead by 20 pips after this play and white has the better board. That indicates to me that blue should play safely, not boldly. 13/7 6/5 is a bold play. 17/7 8/7 is the safe play. I'll go for the safe play here, although I'm sure there are some old-timers who cringe at the notion of a made ace point and failing to knock the opponent off of your five point.
