Seems like a backgame with three points is usually a slight advantage to the backgamer. I think blue has the edge here, something like 60% GWC. Since blue is ahead and white can't really recube to 8 it should be a cube. Also, cubing makes white's gammons much less valuable.

But I'm not seeing any market losers so holding may right or not be that big an error.

White has to take - lots of scenarios where she slides by.
