hit or bear off

Neil: Yes, there is a general rule for these positions...Take off the extra checker when the number of immediate shots is the same, unless 100% sure that it is wrong to do so

eXtreme Gammon Version: 2.10

When gammon is matter, XG generally prefers to hit while she has 3pt board which I observed when playing with XG and lived it many times. But couldnt find a generalization to when hit or or bear off.

Bring the 17pt blot through the 7pt, XG always prefer to hit to increase gammon. At 7pt increase in gammon is not enough and prefer to bear off 2nd checker.
