At the risk of arguing with a far more knowledgeable player than I, isn't it better to not give him 2's to play since he has 4 on his 4-point. If he does roll a 2 he will end up with 3 men there and will be far more likely to leave a shot the next turn. Not to mention the blocking of the joker 22. If he had 3 men there already I'd see the merit in abandoning the anchor more. With that in mind, I'd play 7/4 5/3 since you certainly don't want to move the other back checker either, preparing our board for that potential hit.
