XG file format documentation

The code I wrote doesn't do that conversion but I had considered adding that functionality (XG to MAT). But in general what you say COULD be true in the future. There are no bots (besides XG) out there that have implemented the code in question. Until that happens it is best to provide XG and MAT files. It may be some software will never be modified to read XG (ie. Snowie users) so creating MAT files will likely have some value to someone.

Xavier made the information available so other developers who are interested in reading XG files COULD if they choose to.

I can only speak for GNUBG, but I think you will see some XG support coming sometime in the next few months.
