Giants voting - why only open players?

I might be, but is that relevant?

Probably not.

I know lots of advanced players who would happily vote if they were allowed to. My question is why is their opinion so undervalued?

I'm the wrong guy to chime in on this. I've never voted, and have no intention of voting any time soon. I'm mildly interested in the results, and have zero interest in the process.
