I think you're correct that there isn't enough gain from leaving indirects now.

To get hit now with two blots exposed is often to get G'd, but if we can't wait even a turn our opp may have to place some of his checkers past his open 5 pt and if we can avoid getting hit for a few turns, either his anchor will be broken or his board gone.

I think 3/2 8/6 leaves us enough flexibility for later play..ie we often just come off the mid pt. One problem with 13/11 8/7 is that we often leave a devastating indirect when we get a roll to make our 5 pt.

In this situation where our opp has our ace pt and the race is close and he's somewhat blocked, he has no long term timing and welcomes that chances to roll almost any joker.

I'll go with 3/2 8/6
