The 'natural' play would be 6/4 5/2 slotting the next point in line. The problem with that here is we may be hit immediately and in an exchange of hits we aren't happy with the slotted two point. Removing that play from the equation the only logical play left is 8/6 8/5. We aren't going to leave a direct shot anywhere and we aren't going to do anything disgustingly cute like 5/2 4/2 weakening our board. That play leaves us plenty of good spares to play as needed, no blot for the upcoming attack possibility, and our sixes will be play via the back checker anyway.
