I'm certainly one of the weaker players on our team. I would have hit loose without question. FWIW.

Here's the position:





White is Player 2

score: 0
pip: 168
9 point match
pip: 141
score: 1

Blue is Player 1

To me, it's not an obvious play, and I'm not sure which way I would have gone had it not been declared a next. Since I wanted to hit loose last turn I probably would have gone for the loose hit again, but that's impossible to know since the position was presented with an "obvious" answer.

Anyway, I have no problem with JL nexting whatever he thinks is a next. Let's discuss interesting positions.
