the big factor I see here is the gammons. Nine checkers in the zone, a man on the bar, and a three-point board add up to significant gammon chances, but not so many that it's a pass for money or normal scores. However, when the gammon value is elevated it would seem that a pass would be in order. For the first two, the POG is .5. For the last two, the POG is 1.
