Right, you are!

I do the best I can. One tip is not to do your web seaches where you get your email. When I originally set up my Yahoo email account, I was doing my searches at Google.

These days I do most of my searches via an anonymous Google proxy:

https://startpage.com

StartPage seems to be quite good. When US tech companies admitted to sharing data with the gov't last year, StartPage advertised that they are based in Norway, and promised to fight tooth-and-nail in Norwegian courts before releasing any of the scant data they do keep.

Of course, they keep almost nothing anyway. You can read all about it on their web site.
