Atlanta Chouette Tournament Rules

ABA Rules: "For each players turn in the Box, all doubling cubes start centered at 1 for the first game, centered at 2 for the second game, and centered at 4 for the third game."
Bob: What is the reason for some games being worth more? It definitely makes the tournament more luckboxish.
I believe this is so that the competition resembles a poker tournament where the only way to be eliminated is to go bankrupt. Without an escalating cube, it would be hard to knock players out of the game in the short time allotted for play.
