Backgame blunder?

Blue on roll; cube decisions. Note the score of 7-4/11 (white leads).

The first position is from my Novi match with Kit Woolsey. The next four are variations. I'd be interested in thoughts on how I, as white, should evaluate the G risk. Also, it isn't clear to me how to account for the skill disparity. After double/take, there are some difficult (at least for me) decisions on when to move into a triple shot or hit in the inner board.
