Small technical play

I played this on-line recently and found myself in this strange position and an interesting choice of plays. I know what the right play is now, and why, but I messed it up at the time. It still might be interesting for some here to have a look at and work out what I should have done.

How did I get into this mess you might wonder? The horror position above came via two consecutive sets of double 3's and a little more awkwardness. First 33...
