OTB, I'd probably just hop the blot to safety and not think about it very much.

Thinking about it, it seems that 8/3 and 9/4 respectively make a lot of trouble for white if she shakes a 6 other than boxes or a 54. Blue gets a double or triple shot with these 12 rolls. That seems to offer better odds than hoping to win the race from 20 pips down.

Not so sure about the cube actions, but I wouldn't cube down this far in the race and with white poised to break contact. The takes seem obvious.
