What would you pay?

One somewhat annoying thing about PayPal from your customers' perspective is that PayPal allows customers to pay as a guest (i.e., without signing up for a PayPal account) only a certain number of times. After that, they require customers to sign up for a PayPal account. PayPal doesn't advertise this fact but I know it's true from personal experience as well as from Googling around. When I was running a charity campaign once and used PayPal to accept donations, I know I lost some customers because they repeatedly tried to pay as a guest and couldn't, because they had unknowingly exceeded the guest limit.

Once you've signed up for a PayPal account, PayPal then tries to get you to tie your bank account to your PayPal account. I'm not sure if there's a point where your PayPal account will stop working unless you tie your bank account to it—I use PayPal as little as possible now in an effort to avoid learning the answer the hard way—but I wouldn't put it past them.
